Children’s Dentistry
Dental visits from a young age can help identify developmental issues that can be fixed early, as well as protecting your child from long term damage and expensive treatment.
We know a first trip to the dentist can feel like a big moment — for both of you. Our team keeps visits short, friendly and unhurried, so your child grows up seeing the dentist as a normal, positive part of looking after themselves.
Reasons to start early:
- The same kind, familiar team at every visit
- A dedicated kids’ corner while you wait
- Short, positive appointments — just long enough, never longer
- Building healthy habits early, for life
When should my child have their first check-up?
We recommend a first check-up once the first tooth appears, or by their first birthday. We keep the visit short — often just a friendly look and a count of teeth — so your child can meet the team before any treatment is ever needed.
What happens as they get older?
From around age three, regular check-ups let us catch early signs of decay while it’s still simple to treat, and we can apply fluoride varnish and fissure sealants to help protect new teeth.
Once adult teeth start coming through, we keep an eye on spacing and bite, and can flag anything that may benefit from an orthodontic opinion later on.
