If you are suffering with consistent grinding and clenching of your teeth, then you might have bruxism. Our experts can help diagnose and treat it, leaving you discomfort free.

Grinding or clenching often happens without realising — most people find out from a partner, a headache pattern, or a dentist spotting the wear. None of these on their own mean much, but a few together are worth a conversation.

Signs to look out for:

  • Waking up with a sore or tired jaw
  • Headaches, especially first thing in the morning
  • Noticeably flat or worn edges on your teeth
  • A partner mentioning they’ve heard you grinding at night
What can cause it?

Stress and anxiety are by far the most common trigger, alongside sleep disorders such as snoring or sleep apnoea, lifestyle factors like caffeine, alcohol or smoking, and a bite that isn’t quite meeting evenly.

How we can help

We can fit a custom night guard to protect your teeth as you sleep, review your bite and jaw alignment for any contributing cause, and monitor wear over time so we catch any changes early.
